Kate & Tony’s Copper and Navy Fall Wedding

Image
Kate & Tony's wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch was to die for! A copper & navy fall wedding is on trend which we were excited to design! A perfect blend of a Colorado backdrop boasting a formal and tailored design. Kate and Tony were a blast to work with! She is a pediatric burn nurse and he works in events so understands our crazy business. Both have hearts of gold! Their engagement story is a fantastic collection of a chance meeting, a crazy dream and coincidence but that's another post! The design was based on a formal look with subtle rustic elements using copper and navy for the colors.  Fall is gorgeous in Colorado and the weather thankfully cooperated for the ceremony! It was a little chilly but guests wrapped up in blankets placed on their chairs for added warmth. For the ceremony, the existing structure at Trey's Vista was lightly covered in smilax. Finally, a boardwalk was used for the aisle with two fantastic floral entrance pieces on wine barrels at

Tasty Tifani’s Fine Caramels

Image
Tifani's Fine Caramels A few weeks ago, we met with the owner of Tifani’s Fine Caramels and boy, were we in for a treat!  Not only did we learn about the amazing story behind Tifani’s Fine Caramels, but we were able to taste some delicious caramels made by Gabriel Ricket, a former NFL player. An NFL player with a caramel business?  Yes, you heard right!  In December of 2016, Gabe received a call from The Chiefs in Kansas to go play for them.  Then, he tore his ACL in April.  There’s only so much you can do on one leg, so why not wheel around the kitchen on a scooter and make caramels?  The recipe that he uses is a family recipe.  The story that was passed down in his family was that the recipe dates back to when his family crossed the ocean on the Mayflower in 1620 and then, made its way to Colorado.
