To Have or Not to Have My Wedding on This Day?
There is a time and a place for everything, even weddings. Based on your vision, goals, and possibly budget the month, day, and time when a wedding takes place is crucial. Colorado offers around 300 days of sun which means there is never a bad time to get married in Colorado. Plus, our winters are mild and gorgeous!
“Off-peak” or “off season” weddings have been very popular for our couples because often times vendors and venues offer off-peak pricing and added incentives. During off-peak months, during the week, and certain times of the day vendors and venues aren’t as busy as they are during the wedding season. You’re more likely to book with a specific vendor or venue that you’ve been eager to work with.
Month
In Colorado, “off-peak” is considered November through April. Weddings during these months are just as beautiful and fun as May to October weddings. Off-season wedding pictures are stunning and you can interact with nature more to make your pictures more playful.

Day
We’re seeing more couples choose Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays for their wedding day since Friday and Saturday are in higher demand. It’s possible that venues can be more flexible with the timing of the event on these days. You will have a better chance of booking your wedding on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday in the month of your choice during the desired time. Another great thing about weekday weddings is that they tend to be more intimate due to people’s work schedules.
Time
The most popular times for wedding ceremonies tend to be from 3:30pm to 5:30pm in Colorado, but morning weddings are becoming more popular with our couples. A morning wedding allows couples to plan fun activities for the afternoon. Another great perk about earlier weddings is that bar consumption is much lower than in the evenings which will allow the couple's’ overall bill to be lower. In addition, serving breakfast at a wedding adds uniqueness and a great memory because breakfast food isn't typical food that is served at a wedding.
